Rene Maldonado Jr. Graphic Design Portfolio
design statement
I am a visual person. I am fascinated and stimulated by design. I create with enthusiasm and passion. My objective is to find the best way to communicate an idea, a thought, a product, a service. I explore, analyze and ultimately translate these entities into clear visual solutions.

Illustrator is my tool of choice, but I couldn’t survive without InDesign, Photoshop and most recently Dreamweaver. But no matter what tool a graphic designer uses, it is imperative to realize that the design is about visual communication and it has to resonate with the viewer/receiver in order for it to be effective.

I am a born organizer and I demonstrate it in my work. As a kid I would sort my marbles in categories of solid colors, mixed colors and translucent colors, I couldn’t stand having them all mixed together. This idiosyncrasy has served me well in organizing information and making it easily understood. I consider my work an amalgamation of organization, discipline and analytical observation.
